Two new toilets have been installed in the center of Nizhny Novgorod.

      On April 27, 2026, at 10:48 AM, Society. Two new toilet modules have appeared in places of mass visitation in Nizhny Novgorod — on the Fedorovsky Embankment and Markina Square. This was reported by Mayor Yuri Shalabaev on his Max channel. According to him, each module has two heated cabins, including one for visitors with limited mobility. They are equipped with all necessary facilities. The toilets will start operating after being connected to utilities and undergoing commissioning work. Currently, there are 78 toilet cabins operating in the city, including recently installed modules in the 1st of May Park, on the Lower Volga and Upper Volga embankments, Gorky Square, Ilyinskaya and Rozhdestvenskaya streets, and other areas. Yuri Shalabaev added that the institution plans to install another toilet in the I.P. Kulibin Park soon.
