Nizhny Novgorod trams No. 18 will not operate from May 1 to May 10.

      On April 27, 2026, at 11:52 AM, Society Tram No. 18 will temporarily cease operations in Nizhny Novgorod. The restrictions will be in effect from May 1 to May 10 inclusive, as reported by the CRTS. This measure is related to construction and installation work on the Lapshikha tram ring section. As reported by LLC "Ecological Projects," the reconstruction of the turning ring in the Lapshikha microdistrict started on February 1. This ring was built in 1957, and the last major repair was carried out in 1978. It is noted that the main construction and installation work is planned to be completed in the second quarter of this year. The complete renovation of the turning ring is expected to be finished no later than June. It was previously reported that traffic would be restricted at the intersection of Vaneeva and Nadezhda Suslova due to the construction of monolithic sections of tram tracks.
