This was reported to NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" by the regional Ministry of Energy and Housing and Utilities. The department clarified that work on expanding the network of charging stations is being carried out on a regular basis in collaboration with interested investors. Several business entities have already confirmed their readiness to implement projects for the installation of new fast charging stations. "In total, it is planned to install 13 charging stations in the near future. The locations of the planned facilities are being specified," the ministry noted. Currently, the network of fast electric charging stations covers 21 districts of the Nizhny Novgorod region. The development of charging infrastructure in the region has been ongoing since 2021 with the assistance of regional authorities. From 2022 to 2025, a total of 126 fast electric charging stations with a capacity of 150 kW were installed using state support measures. Such charging stations allow electric vehicles to be charged in less than an hour. Most of the fast stations operate in Nizhny Novgorod — 89 facilities. They are also located in Arzamas, Dzerzhinsk, Bor, Vyksa, Zavolzhye, Pavlovo, Sarov, and other industrial and tourist centers of the region.
