T2 will showcase mobile communication through light and sound at INTERVALS'26.
On April 21, 2026, at 16:38, Culture and Leisure T2, the Russian mobile operator, became the official telecommunications partner of the international media art festival INTERVALS, which will take place in Nizhny Novgorod from April 23 to 26. Together with the event organizer, dreamlaser, the operator will present the interactive installation Transmission. It visualizes signal transmission and reacts to the number of viewers. T2 has prepared discounts for its subscribers on the main events of the festival.
The theme of the INTERVALS’26 festival is "Sign / Symbol." This year, the operator continues to rethink the theme of communication and technology in the context of contemporary art. Together with the dreamlaser team, T2 will install the interactive installation Transmission in the city center. According to the authors' concept, the installation will respond to the number of people around. The more viewers near the art object, the brighter and clearer the light beam. This symbolizes the load on the network and creates an image of communication as a living, renewing process. The Transmission installation will be located in the Alexander Garden.
T2 subscribers will be able to attend the main events of the festival at a discount: the opening concert, the night music program, and AV performances. The promo code is available in the "More" section of the loyalty program on the website or in the T2 mobile app.
At INTERVALS’26, artists and studios from Russia, Spain, China, and other countries will present their works in 19 locations. They cover both iconic landmarks like the Chkalov Stairs and cozy urban areas, such as the Protected Quarters. In addition to the large-scale urban exhibition, guests can expect an educational program and musical shows. It is expected that the festival will attract up to 500,000 visitors—not only residents of Nizhny Novgorod but also tourists from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan, and other Russian cities. T2 has been supporting the INTERVALS festival since 2021.
Yegor Bormusov, T2 Marketing Director:
"We are always open to collaboration with creative teams, especially when it comes to such a vibrant event as INTERVALS. This is the largest festival in Russia dedicated to multimedia art, and T2 has been enthusiastically supporting it for several years now. It allows studios and artists to rethink the modern world through light, sound, and volume. For us as an operator, the festival opens unique ways to demonstrate the significance of mobile communication in the context of modern life."
Alexey Sidorov, Director of the Volga Macroregion at T2:
"If at one time the partnership with the INTERVALS team was a bold experiment for us, it has now become a tradition. As a technological operator, we have long entered the territory of culture because today multimedia art opens up enormous opportunities to showcase our potential and leadership. This year, we chose a completely new approach to show the role of communication in society through an installation that will react in real-time to the number of viewers. This aligns with our priorities as a mobile operator—to consider subscriber activity and the growth of traffic consumption and to systematically develop the network."
