      April 21, 2026 17:40 Incidents The court supported the prosecutor's demands and ruled to transfer the property of the former Nizhny Novgorod civil servant, purchased with unverified funds, to the state. The inspection was conducted by the prosecutor's office of the Avtozavodsky district of Nizhny Novgorod as part of the oversight of compliance with anti-corruption legislation, the agency's press service reported. It was revealed that the former head of the supervisory activities and preventive work department for Nizhny Novgorod (Avtozavodsky district) of the regional emergency management agency indicated in his declarations expenses that significantly exceeded his official income. During the inspection, it was also discovered that he did not report expensive property registered in his parents' names and was engaged in entrepreneurial activities, which is prohibited for civil servants. Following the inspection, the prosecutor's office filed a lawsuit demanding the seizure of property worth over 11 million rubles for the benefit of the state, the legality of the funds used for its purchase was not confirmed.
