The results of the water testing in Uren after the norovirus outbreak have been announced.
April 16, 2026 12:17 Society Laboratory studies have shown that the water from the central water supply in Uren fully meets the requirements of SanPiN. It has been deemed safe for both drinking and domestic use. As reported by the Municipal Unitary Enterprise "Uren Heat Networks," specialists took water samples daily throughout the investigation — both from wells and from the city distribution network. "No analysis showed the presence of viruses in the tap water that could cause this disease and other intestinal infections," the organization noted. However, residents are still advised to drink only boiled water to minimize potential risks, especially during flood periods. Recall that at the beginning of April, an outbreak of norovirus occurred in the district. Seventy people sought medical assistance. One of the main theories regarding the spread of the disease was the tap water, as many of the infected consumed it raw. A criminal case has been initiated by the Investigative Committee.
