The director of the Navashinsky construction materials plant passed away at the age of 87.

      On April 10, 2026, at 14:41 Society, Alexander Tyurin, the general director of JSC "Navashinsky Construction Materials Plant," passed away on April 8 at the age of 87. This was reported by representatives of the administration of the Navashinsky district on social media.

      Alexander Pavlovich was born on November 6, 1939, in the village of Goritsy, Mordovshchikovsky District, Gorky Region — now this is the territory of the Navashinsky municipal district of Nizhny Novgorod Region.

      Since 1969, he worked as the secretary of the Navashinsky District Executive Committee. In 1982, he headed the Navashinsky Construction Materials Plant and remained its unchanging leader for decades.

      Tyurin was also actively involved in public life. His deputy experience exceeds 55 years. He was elected as a member of the Gorky Regional Committee of the Komsomol, a deputy of the regional and district Councils of People's Deputies. He was a deputy of all convocations of the Zemsky Assembly of the Navashinsky District, and from 2005 to 2010, he headed it.

      From 2015 to 2025, Tyurin was also a deputy of the Council of Deputies of the Navashinsky urban district of the first and second convocations.

      Additionally, Alexander Pavlovich held several titles: Honorary Citizen of Nizhny Novgorod Region and the Navashinsky District, Honored Builder of Russia, Honored Veteran, and Honored Entrepreneur of the region.
