A Nizhny Novgorod resident composed a song about escaping from Earth.
On April 10, 2026, at 15:15 Culture and Leisure Musician Pavel Knyazev from Nizhny Novgorod wrote the song "Martian Tango" for Cosmonautics Day. The composition turned out to be light, ironic, and with a philosophical subtext — it tells about an imaginary escape from Earth, writes pravda-nn.ru. The author's interest in space appeared in childhood. He was fascinated by lectures on astronomy, books, and films, including the works of Stephen Hawking and Russian science popularizers. However, for a long time, this theme did not find reflection in his music. Previously, Knyazev was the founder of the Nizhny Novgorod band AmonRa, which ceased to exist in 2022. After that, according to him, a period of indifference to creativity began. In 2024, the musician returned to work and launched a solo project "Concerts NET," within which he released several songs. "Martian Tango" became one of them. "This is not a song about conquering space. Rather, it is about the desire to escape — from everyday life, loans, and everything that keeps you on Earth," Knyazev explained. Despite the connection to Cosmonautics Day, the song is personal in nature. The musician called it a gift to his wife and noted that the lyrics contain references to their shared interests, such as the series "The Walking Dead" (18+). In terms of sound, the composition combines elements of rock and roll and tango. Knyazev emphasized that he does not attach great importance to genres and focuses on his own feelings about music. It was previously reported that a Space Week is taking place in the Nizhny Novgorod region. NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" has a Telegram channel.
