In Nizhny Novgorod, traffic to educational resources has increased by 60%.
April 9, 2026 11:44 Society This year, Nizhny Novgorod region entered the top 15 Russian territories in terms of interest in specialized websites for preparing for state exams. The region ranked 13th. This was revealed by MegaFon analysts based on anonymous user traffic. Students are increasingly turning to AI tools to enhance their learning efficiency and deepen their understanding of subjects.
With the arrival of spring, Nizhny Novgorod schoolchildren and their parents have actively started visiting online platforms where they can improve their knowledge and practice passing the Unified State Exam (USE) tests. In March, mobile traffic to educational resources with test tasks increased by 60% compared to January.
Notably, Nizhny Novgorod applicants prefer to practice even on weekends, while in other regions of the country, activity usually declines during the weekend. For example, the "hottest" day for preparation was Saturday, March 14, which accounted for more than 12% of the total monthly volume.
Residents of Nizhny Novgorod particularly favor websites that offer additional opportunities. For instance, to choose a future specialty based on scores or to see the exam schedule. The top three most popular among the region's residents include "Vuzopedia," the resource of the Federal Institute for Pedagogical Measurements, and the online school "Webium."
In addition, local residents willingly use platforms with AI support. High school students use neural networks to create an individual learning program focused on topics that require more detailed study. Virtual assistants can come up with interactive exercises, provide real-time feedback, and adapt to the information perception characteristics of specific individuals. Among users aged 14-17, boys most frequently turn to neural networks, accounting for 53%.
Interestingly, parents of schoolchildren visit educational resources noticeably more often than future applicants—almost 38% of users belong to the age category of 35-44 years.
"The growing interest in digital educational platforms and the integration of neural networks into the learning process is not just a statistical trend, but an indicator of the maturity of the regional digital ecosystem. Our task as an operator is to ensure stable and high-speed access to these services from any point in the region. To this end, last year we built and modernized nearly 400 telecom facilities both in Nizhny Novgorod and in remote areas. This is our infrastructural contribution to the future of the region: reliable communication today is the foundation for quality education, digital skills, and the competitiveness of our graduates tomorrow," noted Alexey Mikhailov, director of MegaFon in Nizhny Novgorod region.
