      April 9, 2026 10:40 Society The flood in the Nizhny Novgorod region has affected 27 municipalities, reports the regional emergency management agency on April 9.

      Currently, 14 low-water bridges in Nizhny Novgorod (Kstovo district), Arzamas, Bor, as well as in Navashinsky, Semyonovsky, Gaginsky, Pochinkovsky, Sergachsky, and Ardatovsky districts are flooded.

      In addition, flooding has been recorded on 20 sections of highways in the Kulebaki, Shakhunya, Navashinsky, Sokolsky, Semyonovsky, Uren, Pilninsky, Pochinkovsky, Pavlovsky, Varnavinsky, Voskresensky, Volodarsky, and Sechenovsky districts.

      In 13 settlements, 843 household plots remain flooded. They are located in Bor (the village of Kantaurovo, SNT "Olkha"), Uren, and the village of Temta, the village of Chertas, the village of Prudy, the working settlement of Shatki, the village of Urazovka, the village of Vad, the village of Ilyinskoye, the village of Shiloksha, the villages of Chernukha and Poshatovo, SNT "Rodnichok" in Sarov, the settlement named after Kalinin, and the village of Gagino.

      It is noted that over the past day, the water has receded on the section of the road Chernukha — Poshatovo in the urban district of Arzamas. Also, 25 adjacent territories have been cleared in the village of Chertas of the Bolshie Boldino district, the closed administrative-territorial formation of Sarov, in the village of Vad of the Vad district, and in the village of Ilyinskoye of the Pochinkovsky district.

      There are no casualties or injuries, and evacuation of residents to temporary accommodation points is not required. The agency added that round-the-clock monitoring of the flood situation is being conducted in the region, and operational groups of municipalities carry out daily monitoring of the situation.
