The roads repaired under the national project are being inspected in the Nizhny Novgorod region.

      April 6, 2026 19:36 Society In the Nizhny Novgorod region, the annual spring inspection of roads under warranty after repairs as part of the national project "Infrastructure for Life" has begun. The work is being carried out by specialists from the regional State Road Administration. The diagnostics are conducted using modern instrumental equipment. This allows for accurate information on the condition of the road surface, shoulders, and various artificial structures. Currently, there are 720 road sections under warranty, totaling about 3.6 thousand km. For comparison, last year, 745 km of the road network was brought to regulatory condition. Leonid Samukhin, director of the State Institution of Nizhny Novgorod "GUAD," explained that the warranty period for the completed work ranges from three to five years. According to him, this encourages contractors to perform repairs qualitatively, as all defects identified during this period are rectified at their expense. He also noted that the administration monitors contracting organizations at all stages—from laboratory tests of asphalt concrete mixtures and adherence to technology to final measurements during acceptance and subsequent monitoring of road conditions during the warranty period. Additionally, residents of localities near the repaired sections participate in the monitoring. They keep an eye on the condition of the roads, stops, and road signs and report problems as needed through the "Public Services. Solving Together" platform and social networks. All defects identified during the spring inspection that fall under warranty obligations will be documented. Contractors will be sent orders specifying deadlines for rectifying violations. The necessary work is planned to be completed by June 1. The national project "Infrastructure for Life" was initiated by Vladimir Putin. It aims to develop modern infrastructure and includes 12 federal projects related to road construction, housing and communal services, road safety, and public transport development. It is worth noting that last year, over 745 km of roads were repaired under the national project.
