The employment of applicants without experience in the Nizhny Novgorod region has doubled.

      April 7, 2026 13:38 Economy Since the beginning of 2026, 734 residents of the Nizhny Novgorod region without work experience have turned to the Nizhny Novgorod employment center "Work of Russia" for assistance in finding employment. Career consultants helped 529 applicants from this category find jobs, which is 2.3 times higher than the figure for 2025. This activity is carried out in accordance with the goals and objectives of the national project "Personnel." Citizens without work experience have joined the teams of industrial enterprises, housing and utilities organizations, the social sphere, and the production sector. They have taken positions as operators of computer-controlled machines. "Involving people without work experience in employment is one of the priority tasks of regional labor market policy. The results of the first quarter confirm positive dynamics: the number of employed applicants without experience has increased 2.3 times compared to the same period last year. Enterprises are actively hiring newcomers and training them directly at the workplaces. Among those who found jobs are not only young people but also older individuals who, for various reasons, are entering the labor market for the first time," noted Igor Pantyukhin, Minister of Demography and Human Capital Development of the Nizhny Novgorod Region. Among the employed citizens without work experience, youth predominates: 39% are teenagers aged 14 to 18 years. Another 35% are citizens aged 19 to 35 years. 14% are middle-aged individuals (36–50 years), and 11% are applicants over 51 years old. Most of the employed without experience (60%) have a general secondary education, 29.8% graduated from vocational schools, 7.8% from universities, and 2.4% are citizens without education. "The employment center provides comprehensive support to candidates in finding the optimal job. This includes career counseling, where specialists help orient in professional directions and develop an individual employment assistance plan. And vocational guidance testing, based on which we discuss which field is closer to the person — working with people, with technology, or in a creative direction. For teenagers aged 14 to 18, we offer temporary employment programs that allow them to try out a profession in real life and understand how suitable it is. We also assist with resume writing, prepare candidates for interviews, and organize meetings with employers," said Elena Vidyaeva, acting director of the Nizhny Novgorod employment center "Work of Russia."
