Bastrikin became interested in a dilapidated residential building from 1905 in Nizhny Novgorod.
April 7, 2026 14:27 Incidents The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Alexander Bastrykin, has requested a report on the criminal case related to the appeal regarding the violation of the rights of residents of an apartment building in Nizhny Novgorod. This was reported by the information center of the agency.
The reason was a comment on the account of the head of the Investigative Committee on "VKontakte". The applicant reported that she is forced to rent housing at her own expense, as it is impossible to live in the building. The one-story wooden building, constructed in 1905, located in the settlement of Children's Sanatorium "Roika," is in unsatisfactory condition. The foundation and walls of the house are deteriorating, and the engineering networks are worn out. After a utility accident in February of this year, the building was left without heating. Despite this, the issue of recognizing the house as emergency and relocating the residents is not being resolved. Appeals to various authorities have yielded no results.
A criminal case has been initiated by the Investigative Committee of Russia in the Nizhny Novgorod region regarding this matter. Alexander Bastrykin instructed the head of the regional department, Ayrat Akhmetshin, to present a report on the progress and results of the investigation.
It was previously reported that the head of the Investigative Committee will be informed about the case of the dilapidated house in the settlement of Yuganets.
