Investors are offered to create a fish farming enterprise in the Nizhny Novgorod region.

      April 7, 2026 15:19 Economy The Development Corporation of the Nizhny Novgorod Region has prepared a universal, or "box", investment proposal for the creation of a fish farming enterprise. This was reported by the press service of the regional government. Such solutions represent initiatives with already calculated parameters and minimal necessary preparation from the investor. This allows for a quicker start to implementation and reduces the payback period. Since 2025, improving the quality of work with investors and their support has been included in the tasks of the national project "Effective and Competitive Economy", initiated by the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin. The project involves organizing year-round fish farming, particularly of carp, silver carp, and white amur, with the possibility of organizing paid fishing. The minimum investment volume is estimated at 16.7 million rubles. The implementation period is from 23 months, and the payback period is about five years. The future enterprise will require a plot of land from 3 to 8 hectares with a water body, electricity supply of 30–100 kW, a well for water supply, and a septic tank for wastewater disposal. Investors will be able to take advantage of government support measures, including preferential loans, investment credits, and "umbrella" guarantees. Currently, four sites in different municipalities of the region have been selected for the project. Detailed information is available on the region's investment portal. Earlier, the corporation presented universal solutions for creating a tourist complex with a glamping hotel, a sports complex with a climbing wall, a "smart" modular sports facility, roadside services, a tourist complex with modular houses, robotic car washes, as well as adapting cultural heritage sites for hotels. Work with investors is already underway in several areas. In 2025, the Nizhny Novgorod Region again took second place in the National Rating of the Investment Climate of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI), confirming its status as one of the leading regions.
