Nizhny Novgorod Industrial College will be checked for salary debts.

      On April 6, 2026, at 17:50, the Society of the State Labor Inspectorate in the Nizhny Novgorod region began an investigation into reports of possible non-payment of wages to employees of the Nizhny Novgorod Industrial College. This was reported by the press service of the agency.

      It is noted that the reason for the inspection was not complaints from workers, but information in the media that after a change in leadership at the institution, problems with payments to employees allegedly arose. It is noted that employees may not have received their salaries for March, although payments were supposed to be made by the 31st. It is also indicated that the management is not providing explanations regarding the timing of the fund transfers.

      The regional State Labor Inspectorate reported that they are establishing the circumstances of the incident and verifying the accuracy of this information. If the information is confirmed, the agency will take appropriate measures.

      It was previously reported that in March, the college was headed by Alexander Nikishin, who has been working there since 2005.
