On April 6, 2026, at 18:49 Society New cases of flooding have been recorded in the Nizhny Novgorod region over the past day. Updated data was provided by the regional emergency management agency (EMERCOM). According to the agency, water has flooded a low-water bridge over the P'yana River on the Yuryevo - Mishukovo highway in the Gaginsky district near the village of Mishukovo. There was also flooding on a local road section Shakhunya - Maloye Rybakovo before the bridge over the Malaya Kaksha River in Shakhunya. Additionally, water has entered private plots in the village of Kantaurovo on the Bor in the area of Zarechnaya Street. Preliminary reports indicate that there are no casualties or injuries. Evacuation of residents is not required. The situation is under constant control: round-the-clock monitoring is being conducted, and operational groups from municipalities are tracking the flood situation daily. A total of 19 municipalities in the region remain under control for flooding. Among them are 12 low-water bridges that have been flooded in Nizhny Novgorod (Kstovo district), on the Bor, in Arzamas, as well as in the Navashinsky, Semyonovsky, Gaginsky, and Pochinkovsky districts. Ten sections of roads have also been recorded as being underwater, including in Kulebaki, Arzamas, Navashinsky, Uren, Pilninsky, Pavlovsky districts, and in Shakhunya. A total of 470 private plots in 11 populated areas have been flooded. The water has affected areas in Arzamas (the village of Chernukha), Kulebaki (the village of Shiloksha), Sarov, Uren district (Uren and the village of Temta), Vyksa (the workers' settlement of Vilya), Bolshie Boldino district (the village of Chertas), Shatkovsky district, Krasnooktyabrsky district (the village of Urazovka), Vadsky district, and on the Bor (the village of Kantaurovo).
