Social district officers have delivered additional humanitarian aid to the SVO zone.

March 31, 2026 17:04 Society In the Nizhny Novgorod region, social district officers sent an additional batch of humanitarian aid to the fighters of the special military operation. The cargo was handed over to the charity fund "Phoenix," which delivers support directly to military units. As noted in the project, an action to collect humanitarian aid for the fighters of the special military operation was held in honor of Defender of the Fatherland Day. Despite its conclusion, residents of the region continued to bring items and food. As a result, more than one and a half thousand cubic meters of humanitarian cargo were additionally collected.

"The most important thing we saw as a result of the action is that people do not perceive aid as a one-time action. For them, it is an internal need and responsibility. They continue to come, asking how else they can help," said social district officer Lyubov Abramova from the Soviet district. She emphasized that the task of social district officers is not only to record the response of residents but also to organize work so that aid reaches the fighters quickly and directly. The "Phoenix" fund noted that the support of residents helps soldiers carry out combat tasks.

"We are moving towards victory with the help of our caring people. Right now, we have been well assisted by social district officers, the Kulin School of River Navigation, and the administration of the Lenin district. Without a strong rear, there can be no front line," said the fund's leader Anton Larkin. Military personnel note not only the practical but also the moral significance of the aid. A special place in the packages is occupied by children's letters, which are traditionally sent along with the cargo. "Support is needed, important, and we value it very much. Children's letters are especially touching. They remind us of what we are fighting for," said a fighter with the call sign "Light."

Earlier in the region, as part of the "Social District Officer" project, a large-scale action took place on February 23. More than 1,200 residents provided assistance, over 200 boxes were formed, and more than 10,000 children's letters were collected. The cargo was sent as part of the regional humanitarian convoy. Organizers emphasize that the main outcome was the readiness of residents to support the fighters on a permanent basis. Social district officers intend to continue coordinating this work, helping everyone who wishes to contribute. NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" has a Telegram channel.
