      March 26, 2026 14:08 Politics "School and yard sports are a ticket to a normal life," said Vasily Sukhanov, chairman of the Legislative Assembly Committee of the Nizhny Novgorod Region for urban development, property, and land relations (United Russia faction), following the results of the district reporting forum "There is a Result!" of the United Russia party held in Nizhny Novgorod.

      He emphasized that the forum and the work on the new people's program of the party pay great attention to the development of sports.

      "Every child should have the opportunity to engage in the sport they are inclined towards. I remember how I played hockey as a child, coming to the stadium in felt boots, changing shoes and getting dressed in a snowdrift... Now, of course, such hockey does not interest anyone. Therefore, we need to have sports infrastructure that meets public needs," said Vasily Sukhanov.
