The day before, the Nizhny Novgorod team suffered a heavy defeat to the home team. Immediately after the game, the team headed to the airport, hoping to return to the capital of the Volga region at night. According to the club's press service, the players went through security, and the flight even began to move down the runway, but at the last moment the crew was forced to brake. The plane returned to the parking area, and then the team was taken back to the hotel with plans to depart in the morning. The morning began with a new emergency situation. The fire alarm went off in the hotel, an evacuation took place, and firefighters arrived on the scene. Later, the team arrived at the airport again, went through all the procedures once more, and took their seats on the plane again. However, the departure was once again canceled. The reason was temporary restrictions on the arrival and departure of aircraft to ensure flight safety due to the threat of a drone attack. The first notification about the restrictions appeared after midnight. At 10 a.m., the airport resumed operations, but restrictions were reintroduced at 11:47. As a result, "Torpedo" was able to depart from Cherepovets only around 3 p.m. Tomorrow, the third match (0+) of the series is scheduled in Nizhny Novgorod.
