      March 27, 2026 09:00 Incidents The CEO of the landscaping company listened to the verdict in a fraud case in the Nizhny Novgorod region. In 2023, the convicted individual, being an executor of municipal contracts for major repairs, landscaping, and greening of a square in Zavolzhye, as well as for the improvement of public space in Chkalovsk, submitted acceptance certificates for completed work with false information to the administration of the Gorodets district. Moreover, these documents were signed by the head of the territorial administration of Zavolzhye. Based on these documents, the convicted individual embezzled over 6.8 million rubles. The incident was discovered by the investigators of the Investigative Committee and the FSB in the Nizhny Novgorod region. A criminal case was initiated under part 4 of article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The court sentenced the defendant to 3.2 years in a general regime colony.
