Skvortsov's poker brought Nizhny Novgorod's "Chayka" victory over "Ladya"

      March 27, 2026 09:16 Sports "Chaika" began its play-in performance with an away victory over "Ladya" in Tolyatti. The Nizhny Novgorod team won the first match with a score of 6:3.

      The start of the match was not easy for the guests. The hosts were more active and opened the scoring in the 11th minute.

      In the second period, the game completely changed. "Chaika" scored five consecutive goals and took the lead.

      In the 26th minute, Sergey Skvortsov equalized the score. Soon, Makar Opolinsky put the Nizhny Novgorod team ahead. Before the end of the period, Skvortsov scored two more times and completed a hat-trick.

      The fifth goal was scored by Viktor Fyodorov — 5:1 after two periods.

      In the third segment, "Chaika" controlled the course of the match. In the 48th minute, Skvortsov scored his fourth goal, making the score 6:1.

      At the end, the hosts reduced the deficit twice, but could not catch up with the auto factory team.

      The return match (0+) will take place on March 29. "Chaika" needs one win to advance to the playoffs.
