More than 350 residents of Pervomaisk participated in Red Cross events.
On March 26, in the city of Pervomaisk, a series of joint humanitarian and educational events took place, organized by the Nizhny Novgorod regional branch of the Russian Red Cross with the support of the Ministry of International and Interregional Relations of the Nizhny Novgorod region and the administration of the city of Pervomaisk. The program reached over 350 residents of the district and aimed to enhance first aid skills and support families in difficult life situations. As part of the visit, Red Cross specialists conducted a series of master classes and informational-educational sessions on providing first aid. A separate block of the program was dedicated to caring for people with limited mobility. The Minister of International and Interregional Relations of the Nizhny Novgorod region and curator of the city of Pervomaisk, Olga Guseva, emphasized the importance of systematic interaction between government authorities and public organizations. "For us, the development of municipalities is not only about economic indicators but, first and foremost, about the quality of life and safety of people. Today's events in Pervomaisk demonstrate an example of effective partnership. We strive for residents in every corner of the region to have access to advanced knowledge that can save lives in critical situations. It is gratifying to see such high engagement from both youth and adults in learning social skills," noted Olga Guseva. The head of the local government of the city of Pervomaisk, Elena Lebednova, thanked the organizers for their attention to the district. "Pervomaisk is always ready to implement useful initiatives. Today's action resonated with our residents—both adults and children participated in the events. This speaks to the society's demand for such knowledge. We are grateful to the Red Cross for bringing us not only theoretical knowledge but also real, targeted assistance for those who need it most," said Elena Lebednova. An important part of the program was the charitable action "With Kindness to People." Within its framework, 50 families from Pervomaisk who found themselves in difficult life situations received comprehensive support and humanitarian aid. The chairwoman of the Nizhny Novgorod regional branch of the Russian Red Cross, Tatyana Grinevich, highlighted the importance of this action. "The mission of the Red Cross is to be there where help and education are needed. Today in Pervomaisk, we combined two crucial areas: training in vital first aid skills and direct social support. Our task is not just to deliver food packages or essential supplies but to foster a culture of mutual assistance in society. We see that 50 families received the necessary support, and hundreds of residents now feel more confident knowing how to act in an emergency," said Tatyana Grinevich.
The events in Pervomaisk became part of a broad program of the regional branch aimed at strengthening humanitarian cooperation in the Nizhny Novgorod region.
