Nizhny Novgorod schoolchildren and students will actively participate in the V International Engineering and Creative Festival "TechnoStrelka". This year, the competition will celebrate its first anniversary, and the competitive program will expand to five areas. The new hackathon - "TechnoArt" - will bring together kids interested in creativity. Even now, children can hone their skills in animation, fashion design, and creating art objects using modern technologies and techniques. Such opportunities are provided to them by the Federal Technopark of Professional Education at "Nizhpoligraf". It is being created in Nizhny Novgorod on the instruction of the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, as part of the "Professionalitet" program of the national project "Youth and Children". On March 26, classes were held at "Nizhpoligraf" for students from children's technoparks "Kvantorium" and kids representing various educational institutions. They were met by the Governor of Nizhny Novgorod Region, Gleb Nikitin, the Deputy Head of the Region, Andrey Checherin, and the Minister of Education of Nizhny Novgorod Region, Mikhail Puchkov. As part of the preparation for the "TechnoStrelka" festival, which will take place from April 27 to 29, children presented their innovative art ideas. For example, one of the projects involves "bringing to life" paintings and cultural monuments using augmented reality (AR) technologies. This is an opportunity not only to preserve cultural heritage but also to make it more accessible and interesting for young people. Another initiative is a program that automatically draws patterns of folk arts and crafts and allows users to interact with them through peripheral devices. The so-called "AI-Art Coder" helps recreate computer patterns of Khokhloma painting or, for example, Gzhel, and link their movement with audio tracks. The project by the students of "Kvantorium", which received support from Governor Gleb Nikitin, aims to increase tourist interest in the cultural and historical heritage of Nizhny Novgorod Region. Schoolboy Yaroslav Fetisov, along with his friends, came up with a way to use modern technologies to make guests' acquaintance with the region's attractions convenient, visual, and interactive. At "Kvantorium", they developed a system of QR codes that can be placed at significant tourist sites. When scanning the code with a smartphone or tablet, the user will receive a volumetric planning image of the attraction (3D model) as well as a brief reference about the object. "In two months of work, we have digitized five cultural and architectural objects of Nizhny Novgorod. The project is in an active development stage: we plan to expand the database and add new features. In the future, our team will increase the number of digitized objects and integrate the project into the region's tourist routes," the young man explained. Andrey Checherin noted the importance of creating a federal technopark of professional education for the development of additional education in the region. "At the technopark, not only are teachers being prepared for colleges and technical schools and students being trained, but they are also engaged in professional orientation for schoolchildren. Students from Nizhny Novgorod schools have the opportunity to regularly visit the technopark site, which is a way to make classes even more engaging. Teachers have access to the most modern equipment, and laboratories are still being filled with technology," emphasized the Deputy Governor.
Andrey Checherin also invited youth from Russia and foreign countries to Nizhny Novgorod Region to participate in the anniversary festival "TechnoStrelka". "This year, the competitions of 'TechnoStrelka' will take place here, at the technopark site in 'Nizhpoligraf'. We are expecting kids not only from many subjects of the country but also from our partner countries. Every year, the number of participants in 'TechnoStrelka' grows, and the level of the festival becomes increasingly high. We are always happy to welcome talented youth: come to us in Nizhny Novgorod Region, participate in our competitions, enroll in Nizhny Novgorod colleges, technical schools, and universities! Motivated active kids will always receive support for their applied projects, including support from government authorities," he summarized. Let us remind you that the national project "Youth and Children" is being implemented on the instruction of the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin. It includes nine federal projects and programs: "Russia - a Land of Opportunities," "We Are Together," "Russia in the World," "All the Best for Children," "Leading Schools," "Teachers and Mentors," "Creating a Network of Modern Campuses," "Universities for the Leaders' Generation," and "Professionalitet."
