"Every year, with the support of Mayor Yuri Vladimirovich Shalabaev, the competition 'Young Nizhny' becomes a platform for the implementation of ambitious youth initiatives that make a significant contribution to the development of Nizhny Novgorod. Your enthusiasm, creative approach, and inexhaustible energy truly inspire!" said Deputy Head of the City Administration Vladimir Anisimov, welcoming the participants. Director of the City Department of Social Communications and Youth Policy Arthur Stoyan noted that in the last three years, by the decision of the city head, the competition has been held twice a year, and its prize fund has been increased to 15 million rubles. "The list of nominations has also been expanded. Now there are eight: 'Young Patriots', 'Good in Nizhny', 'Comfortable Nizhny', 'Development in Nizhny', 'Family Nizhny', 'Media in Nizhny', 'Cultural Nizhny', and 'Healthy Nizhny'. A total of 258 applications were submitted for the competition in 2025, of which 68 projects won," noted Arthur Stoyan. Department specialists noted that in 2026, the acceptance of applications for the competition will start on April 1. Winners will be able to claim support of up to 500,000 rubles for the implementation of their idea. Applications for participation can be submitted until April 15 inclusive. Competition participants are young citizens of the Russian Federation aged 14 to 35.
