March 25, 2026 18:10 Society "Rostelecom" organized a tournament in Nizhny Novgorod for the board game "Safe Internet" among students of elementary and middle schools. The competition involved 110 children aged 9 to 12 who underwent training on cybersecurity during the qualifying rounds in Nizhny Novgorod and Kstovo schools. The event took place at the "Kvantorium" technopark with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Nizhny Novgorod Region and the Department of Education of Nizhny Novgorod.

In the first round of the board game, 22 teams competed, taking turns answering questions about phishing, strong passwords, viruses, and spam; in the second round, six teams that showed the best results solved problems related to cyber threats online.

The second and third prize places were taken by teams from Nizhny Novgorod Gymnasium No. 67 and Kstovo Secondary School No. 8. The tournament winner is the team from School No. 187.

Evgeny Petrov, Vice President, Director of the Nizhny Novgorod Branch of PJSC "Rostelecom":

“Rostelecom regularly teaches schoolchildren online literacy: the basics of safe behavior on the internet are best learned from childhood. The game 'Safe Internet' helps with this — it introduces participants to the rules of behavior online in an engaging way and teaches them to counter cyber threats. The knowledge gained can be passed on by schoolchildren to their classmates and friends.”

Svetlana Nepokorova, Director of the "Kvantorium" Technopark:

“Thanks to the game, children gain valuable experience: they can make mistakes — and that’s okay, while also gaining confidence in using digital technologies. The kids who participated in the tournament can now better recognize online risks and will definitely be able to use their new knowledge in life.”

The teenagers who came to the tournament became the first participants of the Nizhny Novgorod School League for a Safe Internet. Each participant received stickers featuring the main character of the board game — Antivirus.

All tournament participants received certificates and souvenirs from "Rostelecom," while the winners and prizewinners received gadgets.

The board game "Safe Internet" was developed by the editorial team of the magazine "Rainbow" with the assistance of "Rostelecom."
