The initiatives were announced at the third district reporting and program forum "There is a Result!" in Nizhny Novgorod, which takes place on March 25. Experts, educators, and public figures discussed the development of knowledge infrastructure: from eliminating queues in kindergartens to supporting young researchers. One of the main topics was finding a balance between quality education and preserving children's health. Responding to mass requests from parents, participants proposed to "freeze" the growth of requirements for students. "There is a lot of talk about the load on children in modern schools, but little has changed. This includes the volume of homework. Children practically have no time left for childhood, rest, and simple communication with their families. Therefore, our proposal is to introduce a moratorium on increasing the academic load for schoolchildren. This should apply to both the number of lessons and the volume of homework," said the speaker of the platform, secretary of the primary department of United Russia from the Saratov region, Yuri Vasilenko. The second key block of proposals concerns expanding infrastructure. The party aims to utilize federal opportunities to build at least 150 new schools and a minimum of 100 new kindergartens in regions where there is a shortage of places, and to carry out major repairs on at least 2200 existing preschool institutions. To support talents at the higher education and science stage, it was proposed to include a point in the People's Program about creating over 1000 new modern laboratories — with the mandatory condition that they will be led by young and promising researchers. Recall that the start of collecting proposals for the new People's Program of United Russia was initiated by the party chairman Dmitry Medvedev on February 19 at the first district reporting and program forum of the party "There is a Result!" in Yekaterinburg. The party will hold similar forums in all federal districts. At these forums, the Government will report on the implementation of the People's Program of United Russia in all areas. In addition, proposals will be formed for a new program document. The party's program will consist of two documents — this is a new approach in its work. The first is the actual election program, which will gather solutions to urgent tasks facing the country, and the party's work plan for the term of office of the future parliament. The second block will contain fundamental ideological and value guidelines of the party, describing the strategic image of Russia. "United Russia" has created an expert council for preparing the People's Program. It includes Heroes of the Russian Federation, participants of the Special Military Operation, representatives of higher education and science, the rocket and space and nuclear industries, industry and business, the real sector of the economy, public associations, and trade unions.
