The general plans of two more municipal districts have been approved in the Nizhny Novgorod region.
March 25, 2026 16:25 Society In the Nizhny Novgorod region, new general plans and land use and development rules have been approved for the Knyagininsky and Pavlovsky municipal districts. This was reported by the press service of the regional government. The documentation was signed following public hearings, taking into account the decisions of the relevant commission on land use and development in the region. The projects were prepared by the State Budgetary Institution of the Nizhny Novgorod Region "Institute for the Development of the Nizhny Novgorod Agglomeration" under the supervision of the regional Ministry of Construction. The approval of the general plans is part of a systematic effort to clarify the boundaries of settlements. This task is being implemented as part of the formation of a unified national spatial data system, initiated by the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin. It is expected that the new documents will eliminate possible contradictions in urban planning documentation, ensure the protection of property rights, and create clear conditions for the investment development of territories. The Minister of Urban Development and Agglomeration Development of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Darya Shunaeva, emphasized that the adopted general plans will serve as an important guideline for residents, businesses, and local government bodies. "This guarantees that the development of territories will proceed along a clear and transparent path," she noted. The implementation period for the general plans is set for 20 years. The documents also provide for the development of social infrastructure. In the Knyagininsky district, it is planned to build a kindergarten and an educational building for the State Budgetary Professional Educational Institution "Nizhny Novgorod State Engineering and Economic University." In the Pavlovsky district, the construction of four sports facilities, four cultural centers, and two schools is planned. Earlier, the authorities approved general plans for the Krasnooktyabrsky and Sergachsky districts, as well as for 41 settlements within Nizhny Novgorod. NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" has a Telegram channel.
