March 24, 2026 13:03 Society Employees of the Migration Department of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Nizhny Novgorod Region issued temporary residence permits in the Russian Federation to citizens of Canada and Japan. This was reported by the press service of the regional department. The documents were handed over in a solemn setting. As stated by the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, Irina Volk, the processing became possible as part of the implementation of the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation dated August 19, 2024, No. 702 "On Providing Humanitarian Support to Individuals Sharing Traditional Russian Spiritual and Moral Values."
Canadian citizen Nathanael Alexander Sparrow arrived in Russia last autumn to pursue higher education in anthropology. He later decided to build a professional career in Russia. Japanese citizen Haruka Takemi has been living in the country since she was 14. During this time, she learned the Russian language and became a professional ballet artist. She currently serves at the Nizhny Novgorod State Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet named after A.S. Pushkin and intends to continue her creative activities.
