At the Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration, a meeting took place between students and the regional Minister of Sports, Dmitry Kabailo.

      March 24, 2026 13:58 Sports At the Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration, a series of meetings was launched as part of the "GosStart.Dialog" project. The first guest of the project was the Minister of Sports of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Dmitry Kabailo.

      The meetings are held at the initiative of the director of the Academy, Ekaterina Lebedeva. Previously, students of the Nizhny Novgorod Institute of Management participated in Open Days at the government. The new project has significantly expanded the opportunities for dialogue with representatives of the authorities.

      "We specifically choose guests who will be interesting to the students. Such meetings are a great opportunity for career guidance and finding answers to questions about future employment. They will help learn more about potential employers, understand which competencies and personal qualities are prioritized, and will also be useful for establishing personal contacts," emphasized the director of the Academy, Ekaterina Lebedeva.

      Students actively asked questions of interest: about pre-diploma practice, necessary competencies for working in the ministry, and many others. Dmitry Kabailo invited everyone who is ready to write a thesis on sports and noted that he is willing to support those with interesting ideas.

      When asked whether it is necessary to be a master of sports for a successful career, the minister replied that much more important are management qualities and work experience.

      "Also, it should not be forgotten that 'service' is not a lofty word, but a necessary reality. Working in government is not easy and requires great dedication. Some cannot withstand the load and level of responsibility, but those who accept service to the people approach it with understanding," said the Minister of Sports of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Dmitry Kabailo.

      The students also discussed with the Minister of Sports: the implementation of the "Fan Card" and its contribution to safety and convenience for spectators at football matches; measures the ministry is taking to increase the share of citizens engaged in sports; the construction of outdoor sports facilities.

      "I have been a curator of the main groups of the 'GosStart' program for several years, and I am very pleased to see a joint project with my institute. Although there is only one faculty in the Academy directly related to state municipal service, all others also teach management competencies. I believe such meetings will be very beneficial for the students," shared her impressions, Nizhny Novgorod Institute student Alisa Dubkova.
