"Torpedo-Gorky" suffered its second defeat in the series against "Magnitka."

      March 24, 2026 14:40 Sports On March 24, the second match of the 1/8 finals of the VHL playoffs took place. "Torpedo-Gorky" once again could not cope with "Magnitka," losing with a score of 3:6.

      During the match, the Nizhny Novgorod team was forced to come from behind, but the home team maintained their advantage each time and ultimately secured a confident victory.

      The first period ended in a productive draw — 2:2. After Mikhail Grass's goal, the guests responded with accurate shots from Artem Misnikov and Nikolai Mayorov, but before the break, Kirill Zhukov restored parity.

      In the second period, "Magnitka" took the lead again. Dmitry Kosmachev's team reduced the deficit thanks to a goal from Yegor Nikitin, and by the break, the score was 4:3.

      In the third period, the hosts solidified their advantage — 6:3.

      The current holders of the Russian Champion Cup lost both starting matches of the series. The score of the confrontation is now 2:0 in favor of the Magnitogorsk team.

      The next matches (0+) of the series will take place in Nizhny Novgorod on March 27 and 29.

      It was previously reported that "Torpedo" achieved a confident victory in the first match of the series against "Severstal."
