The basis for this was his statement about resigning from his mandate at his own request, the press service of the regional parliament reported.
As the chairman of the committee on state power, local self-government, and regulations, Vladimir Pakov, explained, Melin plans to move to work in local government. He will take the position of head of the Pochinkovsky municipal district.
The draft resolution on the early termination of the parliamentarian's powers will be submitted for consideration by the ZSNO on March 27.
Andrei Melin received his mandate as a deputy of the regional parliament in 2023, replacing Igor Sedykh, who was appointed by the Ministry of Social Development and Family Policy of the Nizhny Novgorod Region. Previously, Melin headed the Council of Deputies of the Pochinkovsky municipal district and also holds the position of director of the state autonomous institution "FOK in the village of Pochinki, Nizhny Novgorod Region."
Recall that at the end of February, the deputies of the ZSNO prematurely terminated the powers of Dmitry Krasnov in connection with his appointment as a senator of the Federation Council from the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
