Nizhny Novgorod's "Torpedo" will face "Severstal" in the first round of the Gagarin Cup.

      March 21, 2026 08:00 Sports On March 20, the opponent against which "Torpedo" will play in the first round of the Gagarin Cup playoffs was determined.

      Recall that the Nizhny Novgorod team finished the regular season with a victory over Khabarovsk's "Amur" with a score of 5:3.

      The day before, SKA defeated the "Shanghai Dragons," while Moscow's "Dynamo" lost to "Ak Bars." As a result of the game day, "Torpedo" found itself in sixth place in the Western Conference and will meet the third team, "Severstal," in the first round.

      During the regular season, the opponents played four head-to-head matches. Alexey Isakov's team managed to win only one of the encounters.

      The series will start in Cherepovets. The first games will take place on March 23 and 25.

      Then the teams will continue their rivalry in Nizhny Novgorod — matches are scheduled for March 27 and 29.

      If necessary, the series will continue. On March 31, the teams will play again in Cherepovets, on April 2 — in Nizhny Novgorod, and on April 4 — again in Cherepovets.
