In the Nizhny Novgorod region, Student Day will be celebrated in a three-day format.

      In the Nizhny Novgorod region, Student Day will be celebrated for the first time over three days — from January 23 to January 25. The festive events will bring together students from universities, colleges, and activists from public organizations in the region. The main venues will be the youth center "Height" and the region's universities. The concept of the holiday is associated with symbols of light: "Light within you" — as an image of the student's personal journey, "Keeping the light on" — a symbol of the openness of the "Height" center. On January 23, there will be meetings with the heads of youth centers and spaces, as well as a press breakfast with the Minister of Youth Policy of the Nizhny Novgorod region, Svetlana Anufrieva. Participants will discuss plans for 2026 and areas of joint work. Thematic events will take place at all universities in the region. At NGLU named after Dobrolyubov, there will be workshops on foreign languages, flash mobs, and a 5D immersion into the university's ecosystem. At NGPU named after Kozma Minin — a "Festival of Student Life" with venues dedicated to different eras, workshops, quizzes, and an annual inter-university ball. At the Privolzhsky Research Medical University (PIMU) — a tournament of the Student Basketball Association among men's teams. January 24 will be dedicated to organizations developing youth policy. The main venue will be the "Height" center. Activists will conduct workshops, lectures, debates, and project presentations. Events of the Russian Society "Knowledge" are planned, including a lecture by psychologist Olga Barinova. The day will conclude with a house concert from participants of the art residency "Height" and the Center for Creative Competencies. On January 25, the main program of the celebration will kick off, also timed to the fifth anniversary of the "Height" center. On this day, the new season of the All-Russian student project "Your Move"-2026 will be launched, a quiz for Russian Student Day, workshops, a meeting of the "Level" community, creative events, an esports tournament, and a meeting of the International Friendship Club. The celebration will end with mass skating at the ice rink in May 1 Park with the participation of 250 representatives of the region's youth.       Starting in 2025, a national project "Youth and Children" has been implemented in Russia by order of President Vladimir Putin, which addresses tasks previously outlined in the national projects "Education" and "Science and Universities."
