The Rosgvardiya Administration for the Nizhny Novgorod Region summarized its work in 2025.
The results of the operational and combat activities for 2025 were summarized at the Rosgvardiya Administration for the Nizhny Novgorod Region. The final extended meeting was held under the leadership of the head of the administration, Police Major General Vadim Medvedev. Representatives of the regional executive authorities, interacting structures, heads of divisions within the administration, as well as veterans of law enforcement troops participated in the event.
Opening the meeting, Police Major General Vadim Medvedev noted that the administration had successfully accomplished all assigned tasks. Nizhny Novgorod Rosgvardiya officers actively strengthened their material and technical base, improved their service skills and combat training.
At the meeting, the head of the Administration set tasks for the personnel for 2026, which is marked by a significant anniversary – the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the agency and the 215th anniversary of the formation of law enforcement troops.
Departmental awards were presented to distinguished military personnel and employees for courage, bravery, and selflessness, as well as for special achievements in carrying out operational and combat tasks, and regular military and special ranks were conferred. Thanks were also given from the Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, interacting agencies, and the regional Legislative Assembly.
In conclusion of the final meeting, the head of the Rosgvardiya Administration for the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Police Major General Vadim Medvedev, thanked the personnel for their service and wished them success in achieving their goals and objectives, as well as expressing gratitude to the regional executive authorities for their support, cooperation, and fruitful collaboration in strengthening law and order in the region.

In the Nizhny Novgorod Region in 2025, officers of the SOBR, OMON, and OMON (transport) units of the Rosgvardiya Administration for the Nizhny Novgorod Region were involved in nearly 1500 special operations. As a result, about 300 people suspected of committing crimes were detained, and about 2000 for administrative offenses.
With the assistance of special unit officers, over 1500 ammunition of various calibers were seized from illegal circulation. Additionally, about 20 kilograms of explosives were confiscated.
Approximately 109,000 units of weapons belonging to both citizens and private security organizations are registered with the licensing and permitting departments of the Rosgvardiya Administration for the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
As a result of state control over the circulation of weapons, Rosgvardiya officers drew up over 2000 protocols for administrative offenses against citizens, and more than 3000 units of weapons were seized.
By the end of 2025, the units of the National Guard of Russia's non-departmental security provided reliable protection for more than 29,000 facilities, as well as residences and storage places for citizens' property.
Non-departmental security crews patrolled the streets of cities and towns in the Nizhny Novgorod Region around the clock. In total, they prevented about 400 crimes and over 200 administrative offenses, with the majority occurring in public places.
