Maternity Hospital No. 4 and the regional perinatal center at City Clinical Hospital No. 40 will be temporarily closed in Nizhny Novgorod in the summer of 2026. This was reported by healthcare representative Alexey Nikonov. The reason is scheduled disinfection. At Maternity Hospital No. 1 it has already been completed; the medical facility was closed on December 23 and reopened on January 6. Now next in line are Maternity Hospital No. 4 and the regional perinatal center at City Clinical Hospital No. 40. The work of the first will be suspended from July 20 to August 2, the second from August 10 to 23. At the end of July patients will be accepted at Maternity Hospital No. 1 and the regional perinatal center, and in mid-August — at Maternity Hospital No. 4 and the Dzerzhinsk Perinatal Center.
