In Uren, 17 residents of the emergency housing stock received keys to new apartments.

In Uren, 17 people received keys to new apartments thanks to the regional targeted resettlement program for citizens from the emergency housing stock in the Nizhny Novgorod Region, recognized as such from January 1, 2017 to January 1, 2022, implemented as part of the national project "Infrastructure for Life."

      A new three-story building was constructed on Khozcentr Street. The new building has 27 apartments in total, 9 of which were provided as part of the first phase of the program.

      "Residents of our district will move from emergency housing into new, modern apartments thanks to extensive systematic work under the national project. Eliminating the emergency housing stock remains one of our key priorities. We see the problems, understand our responsibility, and will continue to move purposefully in this direction. Decent housing is the foundation on which the well-being of every family and our entire district is built," said the head of the local administration of the Uren municipal district, Sergey Babintsev.

      Since the start of the first phase of the regional program in the territory of the Uren municipal district, three emergency apartment buildings with a total area of 396.85 sq. m have been vacated, improving housing conditions for 19 people.

      "To date, the activities for resettling emergency housing in the Uren municipal district planned within the framework of the first phase of the regional program have been completed, but the program's implementation will continue," noted the Minister of Construction of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Dmitry Grunichev.

      It should be recalled that the national project "Infrastructure for Life" was initiated by the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin. Its main goal is to provide citizens with socially significant infrastructure of a new quality. The national project consists of 11 federal projects, which include targets previously set forth in the national projects "Housing and Urban Environment," "Safe and High-Quality Roads," and state programs of the Russian Federation. They are aimed at the development of road construction, housing and communal services, ensuring road safety, and the development of public passenger transport.
