The Nizhny Novgorod Government House is scheduled to be completed in the first quarter of 2026.

      The commissioning of the Government House building in Nizhny Novgorod is scheduled for the first quarter of 2026. This was reported to NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" by the office of administrative affairs of the regional government.

      According to the administrative office, acceptance of the completed construction works is currently ongoing at the site. In early 2026, it is planned to complete the startup and commissioning activities and prepare the building for the final inspection prior to its official commissioning. The inspection itself is scheduled for the first quarter.

      It should be noted that 146.5 million rubles were allocated in 2025 to complete construction.

      Construction of the Government House in the Nizhny Novgorod Kremlin began back in 2006. The project was originally planned to be completed by 2023, however the deadlines were repeatedly postponed due to lack of funding. The project was later revised: the third block was completed in 2018, the second in 2020. Work is currently ongoing on the first block.

      It was also previously reported that the Nizhny Novgorod mayor’s office abandoned plans to move into the "Etazhi" shopping center.
