Nizhny Novgorod Region ranked among the top five in the number of students who advanced to the final stage of the "I am a Professional" Olympiad.

      Following the results of the qualifying stage of the IX season of the All-Russian Student Olympiad "I am a Professional" of the Presidential platform "Russia — the Land of Opportunities," 711 students from the Nizhny Novgorod region successfully completed the tasks and will continue to compete for victory in the final. In total, 29,219 people from across the country reached the final stage.

      During the qualifying stage, participants tested their knowledge in 70 subject areas. Each student could choose an unlimited number of disciplines, regardless of their field of study.

      "The success of students from the Nizhny Novgorod region proves that quality preparation and ambitious youth exist in every settlement of our country. For us it is important that motivated participants, regardless of where they study, get a chance to show themselves and build a successful career, and in the IX season of the Olympiad 711 students from 18 universities of the region will discover a wide range of opportunities for growth and development. I wish them success!" said Andrey Betin, General Director of the Presidential platform "Russia — the Land of Opportunities" and Rector of the Senezh Management Workshop.

      The final stage will start in February 2026. Diploma holders will receive benefits when applying to master's, postgraduate (aspirantura) and residency programs, and medalists will receive cash prizes of up to 300,000 rubles.

      "262 students from the Sarov Physical-Technical Institute (a branch of the National Research Nuclear University 'MEPhI') advanced to the final stage. The university became the leader in the Nizhny Novgorod region. Also active were students of the Nizhny Novgorod State Pedagogical University named after Kozma Minin (153) and the Nizhny Novgorod branch of the Higher School of Economics (65), and the most in-demand disciplines in the region were 'Laser, Plasma and Radiation Technologies,' 'Security of Information Systems and Technologies of Critically Important Facilities,' 'Pedagogical Education (Preschool)'," noted Valeria Kasamara, head of the All-Russian Student Olympiad "I am a Professional."
