      In Nizhny Novgorod at 8:30 a.m. on January 12, traffic congestion of 9 points was recorded.

      According to the Yandex Maps service, traffic jams are currently observed in almost all districts of the regional capital.

      The biggest jams are reported at the city entrance near Olgino, and on Larina and Novikova‑Priboy streets.

      In addition, since early morning the Kazan and Moscow highways have been at a standstill, as well as Lenin and Gagarin avenues, and Vaneev and Rodionov streets heading toward the city center.

      The usual congestion is observed around Lyadov Square and on the approaches to the metro bridge.

      In the Zarechnaya (across‑the‑river) part of the city, traffic is heavy on Kominterna, Yaroshenko, Burnakovskaya and Akimova streets.

      In addition, several traffic accidents have already been recorded this morning on the regional capital’s roads: on Gagarin Avenue near the Sports Palace, on Ivlieva, Novikova‑Priboy and other streets.

      Recall that over the past four days 142,000 cubic meters of snow have been removed from the streets of Nizhny Novgorod. It was also reported that all resources are being directed to clearing the roads of snow in Nizhny Novgorod.
