      Information appeared on social networks about an accident involving a resident of Nizhny Novgorod that occurred on the grounds of the Novinki ski resort. In particular, the woman sustained injuries while ascending the training slope due to insufficient facilities and safety at the site. According to preliminary data, she fell while snowboarding. It is also reported that a similar incident happened to another visitor to the complex.

      In connection with the incident, the Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Nizhny Novgorod Region has opened a criminal case. The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, Alexander Bastrykin, instructed the head of the regional directorate, Ayrat Akhmetshin, to provide a detailed report on the progress of the investigation and its results. The agency’s central office has taken this instruction under its control.
