Torpedo's futsal players defeated KPRF in the first semifinal of the Russian Cup.

On January 6 the futsal players of Torpedo secured a bright victory in the first semifinal of the Russian Cup, defeating the KPRF team 8:6.
The Nizhny Novgorod side took the initiative from the first minutes and by the 11th minute were leading 4:0. The opponents gradually began to reduce the deficit.
At the start of the second half the score became 5:4 in favor of the visitors, and the intrigue in the match was revived. Despite this, the Nizhny Novgorod side managed to maintain their advantage and see the match through to victory.
Hat-tricks for Torpedo were recorded by Ivan Obzhorin and Vitaliy Bessonov. One goal each was scored by Ivan Chishkala and Gabriel Souza.
The return leg (6+) will take place on January 20 in Nizhny Novgorod. It will determine who advances to the tournament final.
Earlier it was reported that Torpedo’s hockey players had recorded their first victory of 2026.
