      During 2025, extensive work was carried out in the Kanavinsky District to eliminate unauthorized dumps. According to the district administration, nearly 3,000 cubic meters of garbage were removed from various sites over the year.

      According to the head of the district, Artyom Ivanov, the clean-up took place throughout the year. The work was carried out by contracting organizations, including in response to requests from local residents. In total, an area of more than 5,800 square meters was cleared.

      In addition, under the municipal contract for the maintenance of container sites, piles of garbage continued to be removed from these facilities. Work was especially active in the summer.

      The most polluted areas were found on Elektrovoznaya, Ukhtomskogo, Podvornaya, Kuzbasskaya, Bolotnikova, Alyosha Peshkova, Tikhoretskaya, Zelenaya, Gordeevskaya, Zaporozhskaya, Zelenodolskaya and other streets. More than 1,000 cubic meters were removed from Raketnaya, Literaturnaya, Gorokhovetskaya and Tikhoretskaya streets.

      To prevent repeated illegal dumping, video surveillance cameras were installed on Ukhtomskogo, Zelenaya, Dekabristov and Alyosha Peshkova streets.

      Earlier it was reported that 23 illegal dump sites were removed in the Sovetsky District of Nizhny Novgorod in 2025.
