      Doctors of the GAZ Center for Medical Prevention note a sharp increase in emergency visits during the New Year holidays. According to them, the peak of the "X-ray season" fell on the first days of January.

      As Alexey Nikonov, editor-in-chief of MIA "Stacionar-Press," writes on his Telegram channel, the most common injury at this time was a fracture of the radius. Medical professionals explain this as a natural reflex: when falling, a person instinctively puts their hands forward, which leads to serious injuries to the hands.

      Among the frequent reasons for visiting traumatologists are falls on slippery streets and unsuccessful tubing rides. Household injuries take third place on the list of New Year incidents.

      Specialists urge Nizhny Novgorod residents not to ignore pain and to seek medical help at the first signs of injury to avoid complications.
