Traffic restrictions have been lifted on all lanes of the old Borsky Bridge.

      The lanes on the old Borsky Bridge are once again available to motorists after repairs. Journalist Andrey Vovk reported this on his Telegram channel. Read more about this on the Newsroom24 website. Traffic over the crossing is currently operating without restrictions. At the same time, the new Borsky Bridge continues to operate three permanent lanes and one reversible lane.

      Recall that the repair of the old Borsky Bridge is being carried out by LLC "DSK." The contract with the contractor from Tver was signed for 2.42 billion rubles. The work is financed from the regional budget. The repaired section is 1,609 meters long and 10.77 meters wide. The first refurbished traffic lane was opened at the end of 2024.

      Earlier, Newsroom24 reported that as part of the repairs the slabs were restored, waterproofing was renewed, expansion joints were reconstructed, new asphalt was laid, and guardrails were installed. The project was initially planned to be fully completed by the end of November; however, the repairs were suspended in the spring. The contractor had to resume work after a warning about possible contract termination.

      As of mid-December, the bridge’s readiness was estimated at 60%. The remaining stage of the repairs is planned for the coming year and will be related to the underside of the bridge. It will not affect traffic. Photo: Newsroom24
