Analysts revealed which Nizhny Novgorod residents will see their salaries rise in 2026.

      In 2026, in the Nizhny Novgorod region, as across Russia, no widespread wage increases are expected. As RIA Novosti writes citing hh.ru, income growth will affect only certain categories of highly qualified specialists employed in shortage industries.

      The largest earnings growth may be for experienced software developers. At the end of 2025 their average salary was about 284 thousand rubles. Income increases are also expected for financial analysts, who were receiving around 117 thousand rubles, as well as for data scientists and machine learning engineers with salary levels of about 247 thousand rubles.

      In addition, increases may be received by cybersecurity specialists (90 thousand rubles), product managers (130 thousand rubles) and systems engineers (92 thousand rubles).

      Salary growth is forecast not only in the high-tech sector. Analysts note that among blue-collar professions the largest income increases are possible for welders (178 thousand rubles), highly skilled turners (185 thousand), long-haul truck drivers (182 thousand), crane operators and heavy equipment operators (142 thousand rubles).

      Also on the list were civil engineers and designers, whose average salary at the end of last year was about 107 thousand rubles.
