      Around 200 veterans of the special military operation (SMO) and members of their families contacted the Nizhny Novgorod personnel center "Work of Russia" as part of the "Create YOUR SMO Career" project in 2025. This was reported by the press service of the governor and the regional government. 177 people sought assistance in finding suitable work. More than 80 people have already been employed. Career guidance testing was conducted for 125 applicants, and 77 citizens received help with social adaptation. As the statement says, the skills and personal qualities of these people are in demand for positions in the fields of security, logistics, manufacturing and IT. "We are not simply looking for vacancies, but together with project participants are building a career strategy," explained the project leader of "Create YOUR SMO Career," Alena Minlebaeva. According to Lyudmila Egorova, director of the Nizhny Novgorod personnel center "Work of Russia," 5 people registered as self-employed, starting activities in the areas of tourism, repair, consulting and the production of carpentry products. Another 4 people are developing their own businesses in car service, construction and other areas. At the personnel center, each such jobseeker is assigned a personal career consultant who accompanies them at all stages. The project is implemented on the basis of 46 branches of the Nizhny Novgorod personnel center and with the support of the regional fund "Defenders of the Fatherland." "We are creating a system that gives people not just a job, but a new social perspective," said Igor Pantyukhin, head of the Department for Labor and Employment of the Population of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
