      A group of teenagers decided to go tubing down the Chkalov Stairs — one of the main landmarks of Nizhny Novgorod. A video of the extreme stunt appeared on the Telegram channel "112".

      The footage shows the kids sliding down the stairs on inflatable tubes (vatruškas). Due to high speed, the tubes periodically skidded, and one of the participants was nearly thrown out of the stairwell.

      As noted in the video's description, the schoolchildren neglected their own safety for the sake of eye-catching content. Moreover, they chose a place not intended for such entertainment — the Chkalov Stairs, built to commemorate the victory in the Battle of Stalingrad.

      The only protective gear the teenagers had were helmets. Social media users have already expressed concern about this behavior and reminded that such antics can end in serious injuries.

      Earlier, the Department for Civil Defense, Emergency Situations and Fire Safety of the Nizhny Novgorod Region reminded the public about the rules for safe tubing.
