Restoration work continues on the pontoon bridge across the Oka River in the Pavlovsky District, which was damaged by a severe ice drift on the night of December 15, the regional Ministry of Transport reported.

At present, workers have completed the dismantling of the damaged concrete structures. Two rows of new piles have been installed in their place. The installation of a reinforcement cage for the future abutment slab is currently underway, and the sheet-pile walls are being trimmed to the design marks.

The ministry emphasized that work is being carried out intensively, but exact completion dates have not yet been announced.

"Work is in full swing to return the bridge to service as soon as possible! We understand how important this is for all residents of the district. The main question is, 'When will it be back in operation?' We are trying to complete the work in the shortest possible time," the agency said.

Earlier it was reported that the prosecutor's office found almost 40 violations during repairs at the Gorodets hydro facility. NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" has a Telegram channel.
