Yevgeny Lyulin condemned the strike on the Kherson region and expressed condolences.
01 January 2026 15:25 Society Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Yevgeny Lyulin commented on the tragedy in the village of Khorly in the Kherson region, where on the night of January 1 a strike on a café and a hotel killed 24 people, including one child.
Lyulin noted on his Telegram channel that he did not want to start the new year with such news, however, in his words, "blood runs cold at the meanness and cynicism of the Kyiv regime."
He emphasized that the strike was carried out at the moment when local residents were celebrating the New Year, and expressed outrage that the attack was aimed specifically at civilians. Lyulin said that such actions are comparable to the methods of the Gestapo, adding that the end of those who stand behind this will be "disgraceful and swift."
The speaker also reminded that the day before the Armed Forces of Ukraine had tried to attack the residence of the President of Russia in the Novgorod Region, but, in his words, "they fell short," and now strikes are being delivered where they can reach.
Yevgeny Lyulin expressed his condolences to the families of the deceased, wished strength and a speedy recovery to the wounded, emphasizing that "Nizhny Novgorod mourns."
