Former Nizhny Novgorod Lokomotiv footballer Mukhsin Mukhamadiyev has died.

      In the evening of January 1, after a serious illness, Muhsin Muslimovich Mukhamadiev — a former forward for the national teams of Tajikistan and Russia — died in his 60th year of life. In Nizhny Novgorod Mukhamadiev played in the top league in 1996 and 1997, having moved to us from Moscow Spartak, where he became a Russian champion. As part of Nizhny Novgorod’s Lokomotiv, he played 56 matches across two championships and scored 16 goals. Later the native of Dushanbe worked in coaching and managerial positions in Russia and Tajikistan. In the summer of 2025 Mukhamadiev suffered several strokes.
